@teambewleyintl & @teamcudmoreintl supporter Tamarah dances with @danielcudmore at San Fran’s Twilight Tour

One of our favourite contributors Tamarah has sent us yet another update from San Fran’s Creation Twilight Tour. In this clip, Tamarah is lucky enough to be dancing with Dan as a member of the Vampire Court. Looking very spiffy here Mr Cudmore -smooth moves dude!

Feel free to tell Tamarah how jealous you are (and how great she looks) below!

@TwiSuperFan sits down with @alchemission & @danielcudmore prior to New Moon back in November

Back in November,  @TwiSuperFan Myriam  (who will hopefully  forgive me for spelling  her name wrong last  time!) had the pleasure  of participating in a  round table interview  with both Charlie and  Dan prior to flying out  to LA for the New Moon  premiere.

The interview has  finally been posted and  here are some of the  highlights!

Q: You both play  rugby,  right? Did you  bring any  of the  mindset from that  sport to your fight  scenes?

Charlie: There’s a certain breed of person that plays rugby, especially the forwards, like me and Dan. There are two specific guys who play rugby. Those who have a real flair for the game, and a real flair for creativity, and the guys who are in it for the aggressive, primal side of the game. I didn’t really get to show much of that primal side in me, as Demitri. I have it in me, but it was canned during that fight scene. He has a lid on things, but wants to let loose. Demitri and Felix are a team. Sometimes in my trailer, I’m in my costume with full costume and contacts. I go vicious, and see how vicious I can get. It looks brilliantly scary. I can’t wait to actually unleash my character. He’s charming, but in total contrast, he can be vicious. That’s something I’ve definitely taken from my days as a rugby player, and various other things as well.

Dan: All of the sports I’ve done in my life have helped with stunts – with body control and awareness. It’s a side of human nature. We’re aggressive; we have that. It’s in our nature. Back in the day, we had to hunt and kill things with our hands. That’s just part of life. It’s part of survival. It’s not that we’re running around killing things during rugby, but you’re aggressive. The whole point is to beat the other person, and stop them from getting to a certain place. It is primal, and it’s certainly fun to tap into that thing that we always push down. It’s fun to bring that up. Rev that up. Charlie’s character is simmering; it’s bubbling under. My character, however, is a lot quicker to just go after someone.

And this little gem:

Q: Are you guys able to walk around cities without getting recognized?

Dan: Because of my height (6’ 8”), I get a lot of people coming up and asking me what sport I’m involved in. But you never know. After this comes out, we might get recognized more.

Q: You look different than you did in “X-Men.” You have clothes on.

Dan: That’s true. I actually don’t walk around in underwear all the time. It would be weird. If I kept the contact lenses from this film, I could wear them around, and I might get recognized a little more.

Did you honestly expect me not to include the rugby as a highlight? (You guys don’t know me at all …)

You can read the rest of the interview and see all of Myriam’s pictures of the day  here: http://bit.ly/baaH6D.

Please check it out and leave the lovely Myriam some feedback! :D

Waxing lyrical: Solomon Grundy in Batman – fans discuss how @danielcudmore measures up

Usually we dismiss most idle gossip that circulates on the internet but this piece managed to capture my attention. The article in question is written by “ecksmanfan” the owner of comic book fan site GeekBoyMovieNews and looks at the possible casting of villain Solomon Grundy from Batman.

Grundy is a zombie super villain in the    DC Comics Universe.  His abilities  include Superhuman strength,  durability, endurance, and regeneration  as well as the ability to come back to  life.

Basically, he would amble around as a  ”brainless brute” and would  communicate using a mixture of  incomprehensible groans and grunts.  Me Solomon. You Batman.

ANYWAY.

Ecksmanfan has included Dan in his list  of actors whom he would potentially  cast and while it follows along the vein  of stereotypical type casting, there is  something unique about this list. Most  of the people on it have only starred in  one movie and most of them … are (or  were)  professional wrestlers?

The first contender is Tyler Mane of X-Men fame (Sabretooth). Mane is 6′9 – obviously, Grundy is a character reminiscent of the Hulk in regard to body type – and has previously starred in the Rob Zombie remake of the Halloween films. Mane started out as  wrestler Big Sky back in WCW in the late 90’s.  Typically, he doesn’t play a lot of speaking parts – buying into the stereotypical type behemoth casting ploy.

Ralf Moeller is one of the more  serious suggestions.

Moeller portrayed Conan  in the  television series of the  same  name from the mid 90’s. Ralf  stands at 6′5″ and is no stranger  to action films.

Ralf  has acted in films like  ”Gladiator,” “Pathfinder” and  ”The Scorpian King” and if cast,  would probably deliver a  performance that everyone else  could learn from.

Next on the list was Dan.

In the author’s words:

“Daniel Cudmore, known for playing Colossus in the “X-Men” films and has recently starred as Felix in “Twilight: New Moon.” Again, not much in terms of speaking parts, but the dude is huge! Standing at 6′8″ and well over 200 pounds, he is rather imposing. As far as his acting abilities go, he is improving and could use work, but with the group of actors that star in the Batman films, he’d have some great mentors.”

Yes, well, DUH. Dan is physically imposing (we’ll tell you just how much when he comes to Australia in April). Everyones a critic – his acting skills will improve overtime. Batman WOULD be an amazing opportunity for him. Let’s make it happen.

Sandwiched in between the others was Kevin Durand who played The Blob in Wolverine. Yeah. My thoughts exactly.

Kane is next. For those of you  who don’t watch WWE, Kane  plays a “monster” on a weekly  basis. At seven foot, 300  pounds, he’s acted in one film  ”See No Evil” where he basically  played an extension of his in  ring persona. Could he play this  character? Hell no. No offence  to the big man (I’m a fan of him  in the ring) but this is where the  post disintegrates in to “I’ve  run out of respectable choices  to suggest and am therefore  just going to name everyone who looks like a beast”.

The final choice here made me laugh.

Roll around on the floor laughing almost.

Ladies and gentleman .. the ROCK!

Another wrestler, one who has some acting under his belt (tights?) and who definitely made the list because he’s a big dude who has the potential to be scary.

Or he would if he hadn’t starred in both The Game Plan and The Tooth Fairy for Disney Pixar.  Any chance this guy had of intimidating anyone vanished faster than you could say “If you smeeeeelll … what the Rock … is cookin’!”

So there we have it.

If you’ve stuck with me long enough to read the entirety of this post, you’re probably still wondering what my point is. My point is this – Dan would make an awesome Solomon Grundy. The man could get some serious acting chops from working with the all star cast that usually litters the Batman franchise. He HAS been included on this list thanks to some stereotypical typecasting from fans.

Perhaps he should try his hand at becoming a pro-wrestler!

Either way, while everyone has to start SOMEWHERE, we would love to see Dan in a role where he isn’t playing a vampire that is supposedly one of the strongest of his kind or a mutant. Then again, I don’t necessarily want to see him playing some love sick transient either …

Got an opinion? Share it with us in a comment below and please don’t hold my appreciation of professional wrestling against me (Chris Jericho totally deserves that World Heavyweight Championship yo. He’s Canadian!)

Na na na na na na na na na na Batman!

Site Exclusive: Fan Report from Creation’s San Fran Twilight Tour

Better late than never!

I’d like to thank Tamarah for sending us some details from last weekend’s Creation Twilight Tour in San Francisco. Tamarah was lucky enough to meet both members of team trackers&crackers and has included a fantastic photo of herself below!

While a large part of her report focuses on Charlie, Tamarah was lucky enough to dance with Daniel Cudmore as a member of the Vampire Court. We’ll have a video for you all asap.

My name is Tamarah Seielstad. I was at TwiCon 2010 San Francisco CA 2/12/10 – 2/12/10, it was a blast to put it lightly. My friend Flick and I went to all 3 days of the convention. It was so well organized with all the activities (meet & greets, photo-ops, Q&A’s,ect.)

The reason Charlie was talking about the movie “Stuffed at the 2010 SF,CA TwiCon Q&A was because of my friend Flick and I. We submitted the question: “Do you still hate the bunny”? We figured he’d get the reference to “Stuffed”. After the announcer “Jasper” of the Hillywood Show read our question he asked us to stand up so Charlie could see who asked the question.

My friend and I planned to say the line “I hate you bunny” when we got up. We didn’t think we could get out the whole line of “You’ve ruined my life again..I hate you bunny” with out going into hysterical laughter. Well when we stood up and attempted to say the line, we only got through “I hate…” and then went into hysterical laughter. Charlie obviously got what we were referencing (he was smiling/snickering), as the crowd looked at us confused and some shooting looks at us like they were going to pelt us with random objects:) but Charlie played along and asked quickly “What do you hate”?.. Still in hysterical laughter we quickly finished the line “…you bunny” and sat down (still laughing). He then said to the crowd “It’s a private joke” (Referring to a private joke between him and us). But then he went on to explain the movie, because most of the crowd appeared not to understand as to what movie we were referencing.

When someone asked Charlie to do the shuffle during the Q & A, he couldnt do it because the stage wasn’t the right surface. However he did grace us with a shuffle at the Volturi Ball and I got it recorded on video.

Because I won at the trivia game at TwiCon SF,CA, 2010 they made me 1 of 3 of the members of the Volturi Vampire Court. They gave the court members a “makeover” (We only got our hair professionally done, the make-up artist had to cancel) and we were given a “celebrity surprise” at the ball. It was a dance with one of the celebrity guests: Daniel Cudmore, Charlie Bewley or Gil Birmingham.

Since I was wearing my stiletto heels, I danced with Daniel Cudmore. Even in the stilettos I only was as tall at Daniel’s chin (lol). They played the song “Just the way you look tonight”. Daniel was a good dancer, I saw Charlie dancing and he dances great as well (It must be all that shuffling practice).

My friend Flick (Who traveled all the way from the UK for TwiCon in SF) got the whole dance on video, however in the video it is mostly focused on Daniel and I; you do get to see Charlie in it for a bit. When she is able to email me the video, I’ll pass it on to you so you can check out Charlie’s moves on the dance floor.

Tamarah is definitely the envy of Mel and I right now – we all know how much Mel loves Dan Cudmore.

Tamarah has also offered to send us the video of the attempted shuffle, in addition to the video of her dance with Dan, which we will post after we receive it.

Thanks again!

“Financing Justice” Trailer : Starring @danielcudmore

I came across this new trailer for Gary Fong’s new movie “Financing Justice” which should be seen just for the movies main star, Daniel’s very stylish moustache. You wore it well Daniel, although now I may not look at pictures of you the same way for a very long time.

Hanna would also like to point out that the party isn’t just in the back with the pseudo mullet, it’s also on your shirt …

Enjoy!

@danielcudmore on stage in San Fran for Creation’s Twilight Tour

As everyone is aware Dan is appearing today in the Airport Hyatt San Francisco along with Charlie as apart of Creation’s Twilight Tour. We’re hoping to have some images for you soon, but in the meantime – here are the highlights of Dan’s Q&A!

- Dan was asked ”In a fight – who would win? Felix or Collussus?” They’d talk about it over coffee – being big and misundestood.
- He only used one pair of contacts for the (New Moon presumably) whole shoot.
- If he could play another character? He wouldn’t make a good Jane! He’d be a wolf.
- Dan says he was trained to fight by his very big older brother (Jamie Cudmore, Canadian Rugby Representative)
- Dan’s first job was as a petrolium flow enginer
- A fan yells out “Take your shirt off!” to which Dan replied “You first!”
- Says Dakota was so sweet and was so much more mature than her age. So talented.
- Dan called Emmett a bit of a spazz (not cool Cudmore!) and claims Felix would take Emmett out… Slowly… After toying with him a bit.
- Daniel says its really fun playing the bad guy to get to act out the things you may want to do but can’t.
- He loves the passionate fans and has never seen anything like this in his career so far.
- When asked about fighting Hugh Jackman or RPattz, Dan said “What if I could throw Hugh into Rob?”
- If he had to fight Felix he would fight dirty. Play dead and then BAM! Kick and run away!
- He’s just finished an independant film where he got beat up in a bar by a girl.
- When he was a child he took ballet for four months.
- He would love to be in PotC4.
- He likes to do things that wake up your soul. Bungee jumping, sky diving.
- Both parents are English.
- His pants kept ripping every time he threw Rob while shooting New Moon.
- Dan loves being outside. He doesn’t understand people who just love texting and being on computer.
- He would love to work any where in the world where he’s never been – Ireland, Hawaii, Costa Rica.
- If he could redo any movie, he would do Top Gun with Charlie Bewley! (That’s pretty scary to think about … does quantify our whole wingman theory though!)
- Dan likes a girl with humor and doesn’t take herself too seriously.
- Says he doesn’t have “dirt” on Charlie Bewley cause Charlie will admit to doing anything! He’s not embarrassed.

Thank you to the Twilight Lexicon for their outstanding coverage!

We’ll have more updates as they come!
